Sharjah 24 – WAM: The University of Sharjah will hold the first Sharjah International Conference on Biotechnology (SICBiotech) from 29th to 31st October, bringing together researchers and specialists from around the world to discuss scientific and technological advancements and future trends in various biotechnology fields.
The conference provides a valuable opportunity for experts, researchers, and stakeholders to exchange ideas on educational and training programmes aimed at advancing the biotechnology industry and its applications in the Gulf region.
Additionally, the conference serves as a platform for dialogue between scientists, industry representatives, and government and academic institutions on ways to develop biotechnology in the UAE and the Middle East as a whole.
The conference topics cover a wide range of disciplines from the Colleges of Science, Medicine, Health Sciences, and Computing and Informatics, focusing on areas such as health biotechnology, bioinformatics, plant, environmental and agricultural biotechnology, food, industrial, and pharmaceutical biotechnology, as well as animal and forensic biotechnology, bioethics, and regulatory issues.
