She told Sharjah 24 that the project features three key smart systems: a smart irrigation system, automatic lighting control, and vehicle statistics tracking. The smart irrigation system optimises water usage by connecting to satellites for weather predictions, ensuring effective irrigation and soil health.
The automatic lighting system reduces electricity consumption by using sensors to adjust lighting based on movement and energy usage patterns, promoting energy sustainability.
Lastly, the vehicle statistics system monitors traffic flow by counting vehicle entries and exits, analysing dwell times and popular routes using AI. This data helps improve traffic management and infrastructure within the University City.
