Sixth Ethraa career fair concludes with over 2,500 interviews

Sharjah 24: The Emirates Institute of Finance in partnership with the Sharjah Human Resources Department and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, successfully concluded the sixth edition of the Ethraa Career Fair at the Sharjah Expo Centre.
The fair drew in excess of 800 attendees and presented job and training prospects from 106 financial institutions, resulting in over 2,500 job interviews.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, officially opened the event, accompanied by Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of the UAE Central Bank and Chairman of Emirates Institute of Finance, as well as Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Head of the Sharjah Human Resources Department. 

Information technology, engineering, business administration, and human resources were among the most popular academic specialties among registrants.

Noura Al Balooshi, the general manager of Emirates Institute of Finance, highlighted the fair’s success in creating connections between financial institutions and job seekers, showcasing the enthusiasm of the youth for employment opportunities. She emphasised the institute’s dedication to ongoing support and training for Emirati talent.

Abdullah Al Zaabi commended the partnership with Emirates Institute of Finance and highlighted the event’s significance in allowing Emirati youth to discover new career opportunities. He emphasized the significance of equipping young Emiratis with the essential tools and guidance they need to thrive in the financial sector.

The Ethraa initiative seeks to bolster Emiratisation within the financial, banking, and insurance sectors by generating 9,375 jobs by 2026–2027, thereby empowering Emirati youth to play a significant role in the future of these essential industries.
