On Thursday, the council hosted a dialogue session titled "Depressions... Challenges and Solutions," aimed at understanding residents' perspectives on mitigating the effects of climate change and adverse weather conditions on the city’s development. He added to “Sharjah 24” that the session was part of the "Yalstna" community initiative, designed to strengthen connections between residents and government bodies to enhance public services.
Al Kindi noted to that the session featured participation from officials across various departments, including the Municipal Council, the Municipality, Housing, Public Works, Planning and Surveying, Roads and Transport, Sharjah Police, and the Civil Defence Authority.
He highlighted that several key proposals and recommendations were discussed regarding strategies to address rain, floods, and other weather-related challenges, which will be compiled and submitted to the relevant authorities for consideration.
