In collaboration with various ministries and government agencies, the campaign features several events, including the Learning Difficulties Conference themed "Common Challenges and Innovative Solutions." It will also include visits to the Learning Difficulties Simulation Laboratory, training activities, and awareness lectures in Arabic and English. Additionally, awareness films will be released, and interactive platforms will provide guidance from social and psychological specialists to parents.
The campaign will also host a youth dialogue session on World Mental Health Day titled "The Impact of Mental Health on Students' Academic Achievement," focusing on how mental health affects academic performance and offering strategies for prevention and support.
Dr. Hanadi Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Centre for Learning Difficulties, emphasised the campaign's role in enhancing partnerships to improve the quality of life for individuals with learning difficulties. She noted the importance of developing community awareness and adopting best practices to ensure full societal integration and empowerment of these individuals.
This year's campaign will feature a range of activities and innovative family guidance programmes aimed at increasing understanding of learning difficulties and equipping families with tools to support their children’s communication and mental health. Dr. Al Suwaidi encouraged community members, especially parents, to participate and benefit from the awareness initiatives.
