Sharjah 24: Sharjah Airport has announced its participation in the First GCC Airports CEOs Forum, held, on Wednesday, September 18, in Muscat, Oman.
This forum is part of the joint efforts to enhance cooperation between the airports of the GCC countries and to develop infrastructure and logistical services in line with the rapid growth in air travel and transportation in the region. It aims to contribute to driving economic development while addressing the challenges and opportunities posed by global changes in the aviation sector.

His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA), emphasised the importance of participating in this forum, noting that it reflects Sharjah Airport's commitment to enhancing cooperation among GCC airports to support the aviation sector at regional and international levels. The goal is to provide more distinguished and pioneering services to passengers and meet sustainability requirements in the travel and aviation sectors.
His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa further added: "The forum represents a vital platform for exchanging experiences and ideas that contribute to developing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency, elevate the level of service provided to passengers, and ensure sustainable growth in the aviation sector. Sheikh Aimen bin Ahmed Al Hosni, CEO of Oman Airports and former Chairman of the Airports Council International (ACI), welcomed the participants at the forum, noting that cooperation among Gulf airports is a fundamental factor in achieving sustainable development and integrated growth for the aviation sector. He emphasised: "Cooperation among GCC airports not only enhances economic integration across the region but also helps solidify their position as a key hub in global air traffic. These partnerships accelerate innovation and strengthen infrastructure, contributing to the long-term sustainable growth of the aviation sector."
