DIA, GAIAE discuss joint efforts

Sharjah24: His Excellency Abdullah Khalifa Yarouf Al Sabousi, Chairman of Department of Islamic Affairs (DIA) , received His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Alderai, the Chairman of of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE), in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Director of the Authority's branch in Sharjah, at the headquarters of the Islamic Affairs Department in Al Rahmaniya suburb in Sharjah.
The visit is part of a joint visit program between the two sides aimed at enhancing cooperation, communication, and coordination to achieve common visions and goals based on modern foundations that align with the spirit of development witnessed by the country, under the wise leadership's noble directives and its support for spreading the correct Islamic culture.

The meeting touched upon discussing many topics of mutual interest aimed at providing the best services to the community through exchanging experiences that serve the Mosques and facilitate worship for their visitors, preserving Islamic values and principles among the community members, providing necessary support to individuals and institutions and enhancing the services provided to the public.

The two parties also discussed the importance of awareness programs that encourage charitable work and its great rewards, raising awareness in the community about Zakat and urging them to give charity and pay Zakat, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and cooperation among different segments of society.

The parties emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation and joint coordination between departments, institutions, and government bodies to achieve integration, unify visions and concepts in line with the directives of the wise leadership, based on the shared mission and values in society, indicating the close cooperation between the department and the authority to achieve the ultimate goal of their mission in serving the houses of God, supervising their construction, care, and management to ensure their complete fulfillment of their mission.
