Sharjah24: His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Murr Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council (KMC), has stated that the council's forthcoming work plan will align with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. This initiative aims to fulfil the aspirations of citizens and improve services across multiple sectors.
The council expressed significant appreciation to His Highness for the confidence bestowed upon them through Emiri Decree No. 53 of 2024, which established the council.
The council convened for its inaugural meeting on Wednesday at the Khorfakkan Municipality. The session was led by Dr. Al Naqbi and included the participation of council members as well as Eng. Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, the Director of Khorfakkan Municipality.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Naqbi announced the election of the vice chairman, with His Excellency Abdul Wahab Al Hammadi taking on the role. Committees have been established, and managerial posts have been filled.
In an interview with “Sharjah24”, Dr. Al Naqbi emphasised that the council's strategy is driven by the directives of His Highness the Ruler. He stated that the council will prioritize overseeing projects initiated by His Highness in Khorfakkan to ensure continued development while collaborating with government entities to enhance public services.
