His Excellency Counsellor Dr Issa Saif bin Handhal, Chairman of the Department of Islamic Affairs, said the session continues more than 25 years of scholarly activity, bringing together a distinguished group of Islamic scholars and specialists.
Dr bin Handhal told Sharjah 24 that this year’s edition marks an important milestone following an Emiri decree integrating Al Muntada Al Islami under the Department of Islamic Affairs. He said the move enhances coordination, strengthens institutional integration, and expands the Forum’s educational and outreach role as a specialised academic platform in Sharjah.
The programme centres on the importance of prayer in a Muslim’s life and includes lectures covering jurisprudence, Quranic interpretation, hadith, spiritual purification, and recitation.
Bin Handhal expressed gratitude to the Ruler of Sharjah for his continued support of Islamic scholarship, and praised the contributors and sponsors who help advance the Forum’s educational and community mission.
