Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council, announced the launch of the twentieth chapter of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council, in implementation of the decree of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, calling on the municipal councils in the Emirate of Sharjah to convene.
In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, calling on the municipal councils to convene, the twentieth chapter of the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan began on Monday.
The Council held its general meeting headed by His Excellency Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Council, in the presence of the Vice Chairman and members, Engineer Fawzia Al Qadi, Director of Khorfakkan Municipality; Abdullah Al Naqbi Governor of Al Nahwa; and Mohammed Khamis Al Naqbi, Deputy Governor of Shis.
Speaking exclusively to "Sharjah 24," His Excellency Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi said that the meeting discussed a number of future initiatives and the council and city’s activities plan for the next phase.
Al Naqbi added that at the beginning of its meeting, the council praised the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to establish a number of development and service projects in the city, including the cycling track in Al Luluyah and Al Zubarah areas, the pedestrian bridge between the Al Bathaa and Al Bardi 6, and other internal road paving and asphalting projects.
