Sharjah24: The Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR) held a productive meeting with the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the University of Sharjah. It was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and Chairman of the SDHR, and His Excellency Professor Youssef Al Hayek, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Human Resources Department, including His Excellency Majid Hamad Al Marri, Director of the Department; Afaf Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Career Development Management Expert; Maryam Sultan Al Ali, Employment Expert; Abdullah Youssef Al Ali, Director of the Strategic Planning Office; and Rasha Ali Al Ali, Head of the Qualification Department.
Representing the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the University of Sharjah were His Excellency Dr. Asma Nasiri, Director of the Centre, and Zainab Al Nuaimi, Unit Manager and Training Programme Advisor.
The meeting aimed to coordinate joint efforts in designing and implementing training programs for Sharjah government employees and qualifying programs for job seekers. Additionally, it focused on developing innovative training programmes that keep pace with modern developments and apply best practices to help enhance employee efficiency and performance.
The discussion also emphasised providing the necessary support to job seekers through specialized qualifying programs that meet labor market needs, helping to raise the readiness of job seekers and prepare them for available job opportunities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their willingness to continue their joint cooperation and exchange experiences to ensure the effective and successful implementation of these programs, benefiting all concerned parties.
His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi emphasised the importance of this cooperation in supporting the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah to raise the level of national competencies and enhance the role of educational institutions in building more advanced communities. He noted that the continued fruitful partnership between the department and the university would benefit the community and strengthen the emirate’s capabilities in various fields.
