Sharjah 24: Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled announced in a report on Sunday that the 2025–2026 season saw its athletes win 194 medals in local and international competitions.

The club said the total comprised 79 gold, 54 silver and 61 bronze medals, including 155 medals in local competitions and 39 in international events.

Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said the results demonstrated the success of the club’s strategy in supporting sports for people with disabilities and raising the technical and competitive level of its male and female athletes. He praised their outstanding performances and high spirit, which enabled them to represent the club honourably in various competitions.

Al Naqbi noted that seven of the club’s athletes will compete as members of the national team at the 2026 Asian Para Games in Japan from 18 to 24 October, in athletics, table tennis and powerlifting.

Dr Louay Saeed Allay, Vice Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, said the achievements were the result of concerted efforts by the Board of Directors, technical and administrative teams, and athletes, as well as continuous follow-up of the teams and the provision of training and preparation requirements. He affirmed that work would continue to develop performance and enhance results in the coming seasons.

Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Technical Affairs and Talent Care Committee, noted that the results demonstrated the effectiveness of the technical and training programmes throughout the season, as well as the success of plans to discover talent and prepare male and female athletes for local and international competitions.
