Engineer Saud Abdulaziz, Director of SEWA’s Khorfakkan Department, said the workshop covered several key areas, including safety procedures at work sites, identifying potential hazards and ways to prevent them, the proper use of personal protective equipment, procedures for dealing with emergencies and accidents, and mechanisms for reporting and responding quickly to emergencies.
He noted that the workshop emphasised the importance of complying with safety instructions and procedures before and during work, as well as enhancing employees’ preparedness to deal with various risks, particularly in operational and field activities. This contributes to protecting employees and property while ensuring business continuity in a safe and effective manner.
He added that the workshop forms part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to embed a culture of health and safety as an essential component of the workplace, develop employees’ skills and enhance their awareness and preparedness. These efforts support the implementation of best practices and the achievement of the highest standards of occupational safety.
