Sharjah 24: In continuation of its weekly approach, Al Hamriyah Municipality continues its community efforts targeting all visitors of Al Hamriyah Beach and the beach park, by raising awareness, guidance and public safety, and providing an integrated programme for adults and children during the weekly vacation.
The campaign programme for this week covered all aspects of public safety, and the start was from "My Summer Fan" special workshop where children lived an atmosphere of fun, enjoyment and learning, as the workshop supervisors, from Al Hamriyah Municipality employees, were keen to use recyclable materials in shaping and decorating the fan and gifting it to the children.
From the beach stage, the company specialised in marine rescue (Tornado Total Landscape Marine Rescue Services Company) presented a segment about marine currents and whirlpools, which included presenting topics related to (defining marine currents, predicting marine currents and whirlpools, safety and prevention methods), and a review of how to avoid marine whirlpools and exit them safely.
The event was followed by presenting a questions segment for the audience to raise awareness of the importance of following the instructions.
The activities of Al Hamriyah Municipality saw a large attendance of families and residents, especially for the "Storyteller" segment presented by the specialised storyteller "Abeer Jalal", who narrated stories for children with a summer theme full of adventures and related to the marine and beach environment, using the theatrical style in expression and movement to make the story attractive to children.
The municipality’s programme concluded with interactive games and competitions presented by Al Hamriyah Municipality employees, which included the distribution of ice cream and refreshments to visitors and participants, enhancing their spirit of competition, excitement and enthusiasm, and left a positive impression within the enjoyable beach environment.
