To support the Al-Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, the municipality's different departments have come together to collaborate and introduce initiatives and programs that aim to empower and inspire the region's youth. The goal is to foster innovation and creativity in a fun and enriching environment. This initiative is designed to empower the youth, inspiring them to take on leadership roles and make a difference in their community.
The launch of Al Hamriyah Municipality’s activities included a workshop on handicrafts, led by female employees Hanan Al Shamsi, Muzna Al Ghafli, and Ifham Issa. This workshop was part of the first week of the Sharjah Summer activities, themed as "Here is Sharjah."
The workshop's objectives were to connect children and adolescents with their national identity, teach them how to create figures using recycled materials, refine their skills, develop their experience and knowledge, enhance their fine motor skills, and encourage creativity and artistic expression.
The workshop broadcasted on Sharjah TV during the Sharjah Sports Summer and included various contents aimed at improving patience and focus among children, promoting teamwork and interaction among peers, and fostering a sense of accomplishment. This sense of achievement will leave the children feeling proud and satisfied. Additionally, it provided an opportunity to introduce them to the prominent sites in Sharjah by displaying artistic representations of the city's most prominent destinations.
At this time, Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, has highlighted that the various departments and sections of Al Hamriyah Municipality, along with their national staff, have initiated the development of programs and the approval of the municipality’s annual participation to collaborate with this year’s Sharjah Sports Summer organizing committee. The aim is to contribute to the establishment of summer cultural activities and events for the people of the Al Hamriyah region who are taking part in summer activities.
Al Shamsi emphasized that the programs of Al Hamriyah Municipality for this year are brimming with creative ideas to fill the participants’ free time during summer vacation and enhance their involvement and enthusiasm. These programs have been distributed throughout the summer activity period, catering to various age levels to add elements of fun and enjoyment of learning through activities and events. Participants will have the opportunity to benefit from educational, training, and awareness courses and workshops scheduled during the summer activity period.
Al Shamsi also revealed the most notable programs and activities that will be implemented by the Al Hamriyah Municipality team during the Sharjah Summer Sports activities. These include (10) major programs, starting with the Sharjah TV workshop, the organic fertilizer manufacturing activity, the drawing course on plastic mirrors, the Discover Inside the Box programme, the public health pests exhibition, the I am an Emirati programme, the My Sunglasses initiative, the mosaic art workshop, and the My Volunteer Card programme.
Furthermore, Al Shamsi mentioned that the members of the Sharjah Sports Summer are slated to participate in a number of interactive and creative workshops and lectures, encompassing a wide range of agricultural and engineering workshops in the fields of strategic planning, public health, and technology and innovation.
Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, commended the efforts of the Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, led by the club’s Board of Directors, headed by Humaid Hassan Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and all members of the Board of Directors. He praised their unwavering commitment to organizing specific events and programs within the Sharjah Sports Summer, aiming to enhance the values of innovation, foster creativity and leadership among the activity’s members, and provide an attractive environment for the people of the Hamriyah region.
Additionally, Al Shamsi lauded the efforts of the Al Hamriyah community and their dedication to encouraging children to partake in the forum’s activities to hone their skills and develop their abilities. Moreover, their focus is on fostering children’s participation in activities and programs that enhance the national identity and cultural heritage of the UAE, aligning with the goals of promoting sound community sports, refining personalities, and filling free time with constructive and beneficial pursuits.
