Sharjah 24: Ali Mohammed Al Naqbi, Engineer of the Future Programme Coordinator, confirmed that the summer training programme organised by the Khorfakkan Municipality, in its third edition, attracted about 36 participants, including male and female school children.
The Khorfakkan Municipality launched its summer training programme for children from the city’s schools, “Engineer of the Future,” which includes several theoretical and practical activities and workshops centered around the work specialisations in the municipality.
Ali Mohammed Al Naqbi said that the third edition of the programme witnesses the participation of 36 male and female children between the ages of 10 and 12 years old students from the region’s schools.
He explained in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the programme, which continues its activities until July 4, includes many theoretical lectures and applied workshops on the municipality’s various areas of work, especially the engineering sector.
He added that the programme, which aims to invest children's summer vacation time, enhances their knowledge and develops their skills through several activities within an attractive, exciting framework that highlights the work specialisations in the municipal sectors, including housing construction, bridges, and other engineering works.
