Ammar Ali Al Muhairi, Director of the Legal Affairs Department in Al Hamriyah Municipality, mentioned that as part of the initiative, awareness stations were set up in the beach park by the Hamriyah Sea. These stations aimed to familiarize visitors with the responsibilities of inspectors and to provide access to the electronic version of the awareness brochure on their mobile devices by scanning the barcode. Visitors could then access valuable information and guidance through this electronic version.
Al Muhairi explained that the weekly campaign conducted by local citizens in the Hamriyah Municipality is part of an ongoing effort to raise awareness about the dangers of drowning. The campaign also aims to educate people about the warning flags used at the Hamriyah Sea to indicate sea conditions, swimming safety instructions, and the role of lifeguards in ensuring public safety and offering necessary assistance.
He stated that the municipal inspection teams worked to distribute ice cream and juices to all participants in the awareness campaign.
