Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) put 90 players from 8 different clubs through their paces as part of their yearly strategy to find and develop good athletes.
The assessments evaluated the participants' preparedness for twelve different sports, including archery, shooting, judo, taekwondo, rowing, swimming, karate, badminton, athletics, sailing, cycling, and fencing. A technical team from the Sports Affairs and Development Department's Talent Care Section oversaw the assessments.

The goal of the evaluations, according to Mohammed Obaid Al Hussan, Director of the Department of Sports and Development Affairs, who commented on the findings, is to find talented individuals so that they may obtain the resources they need to succeed.

He said that evaluations are conducted three times a year and that a comprehensive database tracks each talent's digital development at each level.

This paves the way for further training and improvement via more advanced programmes, such as camps and competitions. After analysing the test findings at each level, suggestions will be given to the club coaches on how to improve each player's weak spots. Al-Hussan acknowledged the collaboration of the clubs and coaches as the reason for the successful achievement of the goals.
