Sharjah24: Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has allotted 2.5 million dirhams to carry out a number of charitable initiatives on Dhu al-Hijja. The efforts will commence on the first day of the anticipated month of Dhu al-Hijja.
Abdullah Saif bin Hindi, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Al-Adha Eid Campaign, stated that the initiatives include facilitating Hajj for 20 deserving pilgrims from the UAE, as well as alleviating the suffering of inmates in penal and correctional institutions who have executive judgments issued against them in financial cases.
The initiative to provide Iftar for fasting people on the Day of Arafat intends to serve about 15,000 fasting individuals by distributing meals at sunset on the Day of Arafat.
The initiative for treating patients will comprise three cases approved for aid by the Aid Committee, as well as supplying Eid clothes, and the Small Hearts Operations project will cover up to 50 catheterization procedures.
Furthermore, the initiatives include building five mosques in India, digging 10 wells in Bangladesh, and beginning a campaign to cure blindness by performing surgeries on 500 eye patients and delivering 700 dialysis treatments.
Bin Hindi stated that the association has established a donation package for the Dhu al-Hijja 10 initiatives, which allows modest-budget donors to select one of the initiatives and provide a package worth ten dirhams.
He stated that the association seeks community members' assistance in promoting these programs, which aim to provide satisfaction to their beneficiaries.
He advised everyone to use the smart link's convenient digital donation methods, including SMS, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay, as well as credit card payments, bank transfers, or requesting a representative to collect donations.
The association can also accept gifts from benefactors via smart donation screens installed in shopping malls such as Mega Mall, Sahara Mall, 06 Mall, and Sharjah University Hospital.
