Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) intends to support Hajj for 108 people this year, with a focus on low-income people both inside and outside the UAE.
This effort is part of their annual strategy and is significantly dependent on the assistance and donations of benefactors and philanthropists, who are regarded as vital partners in all of the organisation's operations and initiatives.

Mohammed Sulaim Al Munai, Director of SCI's Assistance Department, revealed that the Supreme Committee for Al-Adha Eid Campaign has authorised sending 108 first-time pilgrims from low-income families to perform Hajj.

This includes 61 UAE residents and 47 people from Cambodia, Burkina Faso, the Philippines, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Indonesia, Malawi, and Bangladesh.

The association's regional offices, in collaboration with the country's embassies, determine the selection. Each pilgrim will pay approximately 20,000 AED, which includes flights and accommodations.

SCI's Internal Aid Management received thorough analysis submissions to choose the most deserving cases that met the committee's standards. After reviewing the applications, the specialised committee began processing visas, scheduling flights to the holy sites, and arranging lodging in hotels near Haram.

Al Munai underlined the importance of the Hajj journey and its significant influence on the recipients, encouraging donors to support the campaign via all available avenues.
