UOK organized the second forum for directors of general high schools in the Eastern region on Thursday under the slogan "Education Sustainability."
The forum was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Shammaa, the Director of UOK, his deputies, several deans of colleges, directors of departments at the university, and a number of directors of general high schools in the Eastern region.
His Excellency the university director welcomed the attendees and participants in the forum, emphasizing the importance of this meeting as an effective communication platform between educational leaders in schools and the university, to exchange different educational experiences and understand the interests of high school students as they embark on their university journey.
He pointed out that cooperation with various educational institutions and the joint efforts to guide future generations is one of the priorities of the University to ensure the quality of educational outcomes. He also praised the academic and scientific value of the University of Khorfakkan in the region, in accordance with the vision and aspirations of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University. He provided an overview of the university's vision and its mission to enhance the education system at the local and international levels.
Dr. Mona Al Mulla, Director of Public Relations and Media Relations at the university, stated that the forum aims to gather the opinions of school directors regarding the interests of students in the post-high school stage. She also mentioned that the forum included the participation of directors of schools from the Madha Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman.
She added that the forum included a detailed presentation of the unique colleges at University of Khorfakkan , their departments, and their current and future diverse scientific programs that will be offered to students. Additionally, it clarified the admission and registration requirements, study plans, and future career fields.
Al Mulla highlighted the most important services, facilities, and diverse activities provided by the relevant departments to serve university students during their years of study. In addition, the forum included the exchange of suggestions and the discussion of a range of developmental ideas in the field of attracting and guiding students, supporting creative thinking and innovation among the younger generations, and discussing the requirements and needs of the educational and pedagogical field in order to enrich and develop various scientific and academic fields.
