Sharjah Ruler inspects UFK’s labs and female students’ lounge

Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inspected, on Monday morning, the laboratories and the female student lounge at the University of Khorfakkan.
During his visit, His Highness was briefed on the modern scientific facilities, equipment, and tools the labs are equipped with, which contribute to developing the educational process at the university.
His Highness met with the freshman and sophomore year students, learning about the progress of the experiments conducted in the labs and their scientific impact on their university studies.
The central laboratories at the University of Khorfakkan include three main laboratories: the Physics Laboratory, the Biology Laboratory, and the Chemistry Laboratory, to teach the courses of the College of Marine Sciences and Marine Biology, including the Marine Sciences Physics course, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, General Biology, Ocean Sciences, and other courses set for freshman and sophomore years, provided that junior and senior years courses will be provided in the Marine Research Center.
During his inspection of the female students’ lounge, which has an area of 1,250 square metres, His Highness was briefed on its architectural design, which contributed to exploiting the spaces separating the university buildings.

His Highness also reviewed several future projects that will be added to the university to contribute to its prosperity.
