UOK organized an open meeting for male and female high school students from schools in Khorfakkan city, at the university campus, over the course of two days, to introduce them to the university's colleges and the academic and practical disciplines it offers.
Professor Dr. Suleiman Mahmoud, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at UOK, stated that the meeting aimed to familiarize students with the requirements for joining the university's colleges, including language proficiency and computer skills, among others.
In statements to Sharjah 24, he added that the meeting was held over two days for male and female students. It included a tour for students to visit the registration and admission departments, as well as the departments of Sharia and Law, Arts and Sciences, Information Technology, Business Administration, and finally, the university's newest college, the College of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology.
The Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the University further stated that the university focuses on guiding students and introducing them to the job market and the future opportunities it holds, emphasizing the importance of choosing a specialization that provides tangible job opportunities that align with the market's needs.
