Al Hamriyah Municipality celebrates International Workers’ Day

Sharjah 24: Al Hamriyah Municipality organised a trip for its workers to the Global Village in Dubai, coinciding with International Workers’ Day, which falls on May 1st of each year. The celebration comes in honour and appreciation of the workers’ efforts and their role in building society, in line with the institutional values of Al Hamriyah Municipality, which call for promoting a culture of support and respect among all its employees.
Al Hamriyah Municipality’s celebration came within its annual plan for sustainable activities and events, on the occasion of “International Workers’ Day,” in appreciation of the great efforts made by workers in pursuing different service and municipal works, educating them on the great cultural and civilisational diversity in the Global Village.

Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, stressed the keenness of the Municipality to hold and participate in different international events that strengthen the ties between municipal staff as one family, and to organise entertainment events to enhance a happy work environment and motivate workers to perform their tasks.

Al Shamsi added that Al Hamriyah Municipality gives workers the utmost attention and care providing them with an ideal environment for work, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, as His Highness always stresses the necessity of improving services provided to workers in all fields.

Al Shamsi pointed out that commemorating the event annually comes within the framework of supporting the culture of participation and emphasising the one team spirit, pointing to the role of workers, their contributions and their ongoing efforts, in line with the concept of tolerance and love.
