Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) celebrated the International Workers’ Day, which falls on the first of May every year, with a sporting event that took place in Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club, in which a large number of workers in the Emirate's clubs participated.
The event achieved its goal thanks to the diversity of activities and competitions.
The event included competitions in football, volleyball, handball, basketball, chess, tug-of-war and table tennis, in addition to various recreational activities to cheer everyone up.
The event was attended by His Excellency Salem Mohammed bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, and Salem Saif Al Jari Al Ketbi, Executive Director of the Club.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), expressed his happiness at the success of the event and the achievement of its goal, stressing the SSC's keenness to revive the occasion annually.
