"ACRES 2024" is organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department. The event is held at the Expo Centre Sharjah for four days, until January 20th.
Following the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi visited the booths of the participating government agencies and the exhibitors. Various organisations, authorities, businesses, and developers of real estate presented their most recent and significant projects locally as well as globally, and he listened intently as they detailed them.
The Chairman of the Ruler's Office gained insight into cutting-edge developments in the real estate industry, as well as a variety of entities' recent residential, commercial, and real estate projects, throughout the course of the visit.
Furthermore, he explored the many services provided by government agencies. He stopped at the booths of several organisations involved in real estate development and services in Sharjah, including the Real Estate Registration Department, Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority, Sharjah Economic Development Department, Sharjah Asset Management, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), and a few more.
More than ninety-three specialised real estate firms from prominent companies in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan, Georgia, Egypt, Turkey, and Morocco are present at this year's Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition.
Investors and visitors from all around the world may peruse the more than 372 new real estate projects displayed at the exhibition. At this year's edition, a wide range of local, regional, and worldwide real estate development firms that focus on development and investment are present.
It also houses government agencies that deal with real estate, financial institutions, law firms, security solution providers, and organisations that deal with safety, security, project management, robots, and AI.

Following the completion of the exhibition tour, Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi was present at the inaugural ceremony of the Real Estate Arbitration Forum. The Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre "Tahkeem" is hosting the forum. This event coincides with the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition (ACRES).
Investors, suppliers, contractors, and service providers may learn more about the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre's (SICAC) numerous services and its prominent position in servicing the economic and commercial sectors at this conference.
After the national anthem of the UAE was played, the opening ceremony started. Then, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Chairman, Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, welcomed everyone and thanked the Ruler's Office Chairman for attending the exhibition's inauguration and presenting the awards.
He emphasised the forum's value in teaching about the UAE's legal system, arbitration as a last resort, and the supplementary role it plays in the country's economic development and the expansion of commercial activity in a wide range of industries. Al Owais also emphasised the distinctive legislative framework that promotes business expansion and diversification.
The visitors watched a presentation that discussed the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre's duties, aims, operations, and events, as well as its role in increasing economic competitiveness in the Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE.
After the opening ceremony, Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi recognised the forum participants at the first session on "The Role of Arbitration in Supporting Economic Development" and the second session on "The Role of Arbitration in the Construction Sector."
The opening ceremony of the exhibition and forum was attended by several dignitaries, including Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Dr Sulaiman Abdallah bin Sarhan Al Zaabi, Chairman of Municipal Affairs Department; Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD); Eng. Hamad Juma Al Shamsi, the Chairman of the Department of Planning and Survey in Sharjah; Ali Ahmed Ali Abu Ghazin, Chairman of the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority; Salem bin Ali Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Municipal Council (SMC); Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah; Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi, Director General of Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, along with other officials, business leaders, and real estate investors.
