Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi also honoured the Khorfakkan Municipality team that won second place, Kalba Municipality team that won third place, and the judging committee, and took photos with the winning teams and the organising committee.
Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi followed the final match that brought together the teams of the General Command of the Amiri Guard and the municipality of the city of Khorfakkan, and ended in favour of the Amiri Guard with a score of 4 to zero to win the championship cup.
The football championship competitions were held in a group system, during which the teams were divided into four groups. The first and second from each group qualified for the quarter-finals, and the winner of each competition qualified for the round of four, and then the final match to determine the first and second place finishers.
The football tournament is part of the Sharjah Government Employees Club Ramadan Sports Championship, organised by the club during the period from March 13 to 24. The tournament, which witnesses the participation of employees of about 16 government agencies, includes two main sports: football and padel tennis.
The coronation was attended by Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department; Ahmed Hamad Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Government Employees Club; members of the club’s Board of Directors; and officials and representatives of the participating entities.
