Sharjah 24: After four years of achieving the accreditation criteria, Al Qassimi Women's & Children's Hospital, which is affiliated with Emirates Health Services (EHS), has attained a new milestone by getting paediatric certification from the Emirati Board. Among the accreditation schemes in the country, this accreditation stands out as a notable achievement for the institution.
The head of the paediatric residency programme at Al Qassimi Women's & Children's Hospital, Dr Aisha Abdullah Al Khaldi, has said that the four-year programme has set a number of standards since it was approved by the National Institute for Medical Specialties.
These encompass a wide range of activities, such as supervising resident doctors, evaluating their professional performance, tracking their academic accomplishments (such as training hours and research presented), attending medical conferences, and performing specialty-related procedures.
Al Khaldi went on to say that the program's staff was able to succeed in obtaining this accreditation thanks to the backing of EHS and TDC leadership.
Dr. Leila Tarim, who is the Academic General Supervisor of the Continuous Medical Education Programme at the Training and Development Centre (TDC) under EHS, confirmed that the 42 paediatric specialists who served as trainers for this batch were also evaluated according to the same criteria as the resident doctors.
