Sharjah 24: In cooperation with the volunteers of Sharjah Centre for Voluntary Work, Sharjah Charity International prepared and distributed the “Ramadan Basket” as part of its Ramadan campaign “Joud” projects, which aim to help needy families provide Ramadan supplies and basic needs throughout the blessed month of Ramadan.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director, said that the employees of Sharjah Charity International and the volunteers of Sharjah Centre for Voluntary Work have begun the distribution of Ramadan basket, which will continue on a daily basis until delivering 10,000 baskets. Contents of the basket were provided in cooperation with the commercial outlets and food items are distributed to 50,000 beneficiaries registered on the association’s lists.
Bin Khadem stressed that the basket contains all the basic materials and needs for every home and family, as the association took into account the provision of food supplies in large quantities and of high quality.
Ibn Khadem pointed out the importance of the Ramadan Basket Project in achieving the highest levels of care, and raising the culture of volunteerism and humanitarian work in society, which supports the values of social solidarity and spreads joy in the souls of the people in need, directing his sincere thanks to generous donors for their tangible efforts in supporting the project.
