SCC briefs American del. on emirate's inv envir.

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) welcomed a delegation from the United States consisting of representatives from different economic sectors. At the meeting, the delegation discussed Sharjah's prominent economic status and its attractive investment opportunities, highlighting its advanced infrastructure, modern legislative system, cultural renaissance, and top-notch economic projects.
This falls under Sharjah's strategy of diversifying its economy. The delegation was welcomed at the council's headquarters in Sharjah city by Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Sharjah Consultative Council, in the presence of Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the Consultative Council of Sharjah. 

Sam Hassoun, President and CEO of the president of Global Leadership Alliance (GLA), led the American delegation. At the meeting, the council reaffirmed its dedication to strengthening cooperation between the Emirate of Sharjah and relevant American institutions across different sectors, particularly parliamentary and economic. 

The discussions also emphasised the importance of strengthening mutual support, exchanging experiences, and sharing expertise in research and economic studies, while also addressing common interests and consulting on mutual concerns. 

The delegation received an overview of Sharjah's accomplishments in the areas of economy, tourism, energy, and the environment.

On the council's visit to the "Bee'ah" group, the delegation learned about the comprehensive and cutting-edge services and solutions provided by "Bee'ah" in environmental management, renewable energy, and technology. They received information about the projects and initiatives of the "Bee'ah" group in the environment and sustainability sectors within and outside the Emirate of Sharjah, along with its innovative solutions in renewable energy and green mobility.

Dr. . Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi warmly greeted the visiting delegation, highlighting the strengthening relations between the Emirate of Sharjah and the United States, which benefit both parties. He emphasised Sharjah's commitment to strengthening collaboration and working together with its key allies globally, including the United States.

He highlighted that the Council, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, places significant emphasis on economic, cultural, and educational matters. This can be witnessed through its sessions, committees' efforts, and the implementation of various plans and programmes to improve the operations of different sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah. One of these sectors is the economy, which handles various tasks and initiatives to make business practices easier, support the business community, and promote its success.

This meeting offers American economic institutions a chance to gain insight into the attractive investment opportunities in Sharjah, a key global business hub.

Sustainable development and environmental issues are given high priority by the Council because of their crucial role in mitigating the effects of climate change and improving the overall quality of community life. This is achieved through the Council's keenness to monitor the work of relevant bodies and institutions involved in environmental issues, including the Bee'ah" group.

The American delegation applauded the parliamentary experience in the Emirate of Sharjah, highlighting the significant achievements in exercising the council's duties and responsibilities. They were optimistic that this visit would enhance economic cooperation and create investment opportunities that benefit both countries.

Following the meeting, the delegation explored the Sharjah Consultative Council building, visiting its various halls, the main hall and the library. They explored the library's collection
 of specialised books on different political, economic, and cultural subjects.
