In an interview with “Sharjah 24,” she explained that the program includes various daily activities, events, and visits. Recently, the participants visited the Sharjah Classic Car Museum, where they learned about different vehicles and how to guide visitors. They also had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast with elderly residents at a nursing home. During this time, the young volunteers connected with the elderly by listening to their stories, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere that bridged the gap between generations.
The tour continued at the "Rain Room," an interactive art installation where visitors can experience walking through rain without getting wet, thanks to smart technology. The young volunteers helped the elderly enjoy this experience, showcasing moments of kindness and responsibility.
Sindiya emphasized that the program provides hands-on volunteer experiences, helping young people develop important personal and leadership skills. It also familiarizes them with the roles of different community organizations and volunteer groups in Sharjah. The program will run for two weeks, wrapping up on August 14, and aims to prepare the youth to understand and actively participate in community service.
