Dr. Abdullah Al Darmaki, a renowned Emirati researcher, academic, and parliamentarian, who is a member of the Sharjah Consultative Council, presented the workshop, which covered five main topics. The workshop was attended by Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for Children, and supervisors of the Arab delegations participating in the Parliament.
During the workshop, supervisors were divided into five teams and addressed five key topics. These included the current status of Arab children, their requirements and needs in all areas of life, future expectations, institutional framing and meeting the needs of the child, and proposed initiatives and activities to advance children in all fields.
Supervisors from various Arab countries, including Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, Tunisia, Djibouti, Iraq, Palestine, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Syria, and the UAE, participated in the discussion, sharing their unique experiences and opinions on the current status of children in their countries.
The discussion aimed to enrich the workshop's themes and presented various proposals for improving child development programs and enhancing the effectiveness of efforts made to achieve the comprehensive development of Arab children. The supervisors interacted effectively with the rest of the participants, contributing to enriching the discussions and fully achieving the workshop’s objectives.
