It fostered constructive dialogue, stressing that digital awareness is a shared responsibility requiring cooperation between families, schools, and society to protect future generations from electronic addiction, and to harness technology for creativity and progress rather than restriction.

The programme opened with welcoming remarks emphasising the importance of addressing excessive technology use, balancing its risks with its educational and creative potential.
Outstanding students, including Hamad Mohammed Ibrahim, Hamda Salem Al Ali, Saif Hilal Al Kindi, Amal Abdulaziz Al Abdouli, Abdulrahman Obaid Al Kindi, and Reem Ahmed Al Baloushi, shared insights on the topic, in a session moderated by Wadie Mohammed from Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s Al Sharqiya Channel.
They explained that digital addiction is not limited to video games but also includes over-reliance on smart devices and social media, which can disrupt life balance. Warning signs include social isolation, poor academic performance, sleep disorders, and loss of interest in real-world activities.
