Sharjah 24: The delegation of the Sharjah Charity International (SCI) in Bahrain inaugurated “Handala Bin Abi Amer” Mosque in the Shahrakkan village in the Northern Governorate, on an area of 405 square metres to receive up to 165 men and women worshipers.
The mosque was inaugurated in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Fetais Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Waqf Council at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf, along with SCI delegation headed by Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of the Association, Mohammed Hamdan Al-Zari, Head of the Projects Sector, and Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al Ali, Director of Projects and External Aid.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director and Head of SCI delegation in the Kingdom of Bahrain, congratulated the donor and philanthropist on the opening of this charitable project, which is SCI first construction project in Bahrain. Bin Khadim added that the group wedding project has been implemented several times before, stressing that the mosque is undoubtedly the first of future projects that will be implemented after completing all the required studies to indicate the volume of work required and the type of projects that suit the needs of the population and the implementation sites. Bin Khadim stressed that this great work comes within SCI efforts to build the houses of God, as building mosques represents one of the highest acts of charity urged by Islamic law and receive great attention from the Prophet’s guidance, hoping that the project will represent an addition and urban support to the residents of the region.

Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim confirmed that this project comes within SCI efforts to make the mosque a centre of worship, strengthen the relations of the residents of the region, support Islamic values and principles, and enhance community cohesion.

Ibn Khadem extended his sincere thanks to the donors for their great efforts in supporting SCI projects. He also thanked the UAE Embassy in Bahrain for its cooperation with the association’s delegation.
