Sharjah24: The "Sharjah Charity International" has outlined five approaches for receiving financial Zakat from donors, aiming to enhance flexibility and convenience for contributors. This method stands out for its simplicity and prompt delivery of funds to the deserving recipients.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity International, emphasised the significance of Zakat funds as a crucial source for the association, covering an annual expenditure of AED 60.7 million on "Tafreej Al-Kurba (Relief of Distress)" assistance.

He indicated that individuals interested in giving Zakat can utilise the association's user-friendly website, providing an effortless donation experience. The website empowers donors to specify the amount of Zakat due, allowing them to pay the calculated 2.5%. Additionally, the intelligent link facilitates financial Zakat contributors to donate through digital platforms such as "Apple Pay" or "Samsung Pay," as well as credit cards.

Available methods encompass direct donations at the association's headquarters or its branches in the central and eastern regions, with representatives on hand to collect contributions. Donors seeking to liaise with the association's representative for donation delivery can contact the toll-free number 80014.

Bin Khadim highlighted the association's strategy of diversifying donation methods, affording donors ample choices for the most suitable approach. Furthermore, donors can allocate the value of financial Zakat through bank transfers using the association's accounts at Sharjah Islamic Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.

During the holy month of Ramadan, the association intensifies efforts to collect financial Zakat from willing contributors, intending to allocate the funds to deserving individuals in accordance with Sharia (Islamic law and rules).
