Sharjah 24: The value of cash donations provided by benefactors to the Sharjah Charity International through electronic donation methods over the past year amounted to 37.7 million dirhams, with 24.3 million dirhams from website donors, and 13.4 million dirhams from smart link users.
Abdullah Saif bin Hindi, Head of the Corporate Services Sector in SCI, said that electronic donation channels have achieved remarkable progress over the past year, and have witnessed wide spread among the vast majority of donors who have expressed their satisfaction with the easy and very smooth means of donation that the association has provided for them.
He pointed out that the association has been able to keep pace with digital transformations and all its services are now carried out via smart devices, allowing the vast majority of the public, who are regular users of digital applications, to participate in supporting the association’s work from where they are through simple and easy steps away from the traditional and stereotypical methods, looking forward to creating more services and digital applications and channels that are simpler and easier for the benefactors and the Association’s audience in general, calling for taking advantage of these means and services provided to enhance the process of humanitarian work in the Emirate of Sharjah, which ultimately brings the greatest benefit to the targeted and deserving people.
Bin Hindi explained that the association has great flexibility in the diversity of donation methods available to it, explaining that in addition to smart methods, there are traditional donation methods represented by text messages, bank transfers, association collectors, and customer service centres at the association’s main headquarters and branches, in addition to the hotline 80014.
