Sharjah 24: The charitable exhibition 'Ghayth 4' organised by the Sharjah Charity International (SCI), during the period from the 28th to the 30th of last December at Al Dhaid Expo Centre, achieved great success and was welcomed by all members of society, who praised the SCI’s efforts in organising the exhibition.
The event met the needs of hundreds of beneficiary families through more than 10,000 various commodities that included new clothes, food items, shoes, and other necessary needs at very reduced prices meeting the needs of needy families.
Dr. Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Director of the SCI in Al Dhaid, stated that for the fourth year, the event has achieved its goals of supporting needy families as well as productive families through the various commodities provided by the exhibition.
It contained a large package of basic foodstuffs, in addition to clothes and other miscellaneous materials that represent a priority for the targeted people. Over the course of 3 days, the event enjoyed great demand from the public and visitors, as the attendance of 5,000 visitors was recorded, and it witnessed a great turn out of those wishing to benefit from the materials that were presented.
The event contained approximately 10,000 pieces of clothing, shoes, and various food items, which were completely sold, the proceeds from these items are used to support the SCI’s projects and work, and all the materials presented conform to health specifications and were provided in cooperation with the supporting bodies.
He added that SCI seeks, with the support of partners, merchants and institutions, to increase the type and quantity of materials provided by the exhibition. He maintained that the exhibition is one of the initiatives that keeps pace with the SCI’s vision and aspirations regarding providing all means of support to needy families and opens the door to productive families to enable them to meet their needs of earning on their own.
The Director of the SCI in Al Dhaid extended his sincere thanks to the supporters and participants in the exhibition’s pavilions, who were keen, as usual during every year, to provide the materials that were displayed, which covered the needs of a large segment of the target audience and visitors to the exhibition.
