Sharjah24: Al-Hamriyah Municipality has effectively utilised its expertise through QR code technology to educate beachgoers, park visitors, and wilderness enthusiasts on environmental preservation. This initiative coincided with the onset of winter and travel season, marked by the launch of a comprehensive campaign titled "Clean Environment, Sustainable Future." The campaign, in line with the directives of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, aims to boost environmental awareness and inspire community involvement in fostering a clean and healthy environment.
Focusing on beachgoers, park visitors, and wilderness enthusiasts in Al-Hamriyah, the campaign involved distributing brochures and employing Quick Response (QR) code technology. This modern approach allowed the public easy access to electronic awareness materials.
The emphasis of the modern technology used was on encouraging citizens to opt for recyclable materials and highlighting the environmental challenges associated with plastic. The goal is to motivate everyone to transition to eco-friendly alternatives and cut down on the use of disposable plastic products. Additionally, the campaign urged active participation in initiatives dedicated to cleaning and preserving the environment, starting with individual contributions from the public. This aims to cultivate a sense of collective responsibility and convey a positive message, encouraging the adoption of environmentally friendly behaviours.
