SEWA implements electricity, water network in Khorfakkan

Sharjah24: Eng. Saud Abdel Aziz, Director of the Khorfakkan Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), announced the start of work on the electricity and water network project in Al Haray 3 area in Khorfakkan at a cost of about AED25 million.

Abdel Aziz said that the project meets the needs of the people and keeps pace with the population growth in Khorfakkan.

He explained, in statements to “Sharjah 24”, that the project includes a 11/33 kV distribution station, including electrical connection works with the network.

The station contains 12 transformers with a capacity of 11 kilovolts per transformer, sufficient to meet the current and future needs.

He pointed out that the buildings will receive the service before the end of August.
