Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) is diligently working to extend services to the commercial and industrial areas of Al Haray in Khorfakkan as swiftly as possible, adhering to the highest standards of safety and security. In the initial phase, the authority has initiated the installation of 12 sub-distribution stations (11 kV) and 12 km of 11 kV cables, with a total cost of 19 million dirhams.
Engineer Saud Abdulaziz, the Director of the Khorfakkan Department at SEWA, clarified that in their ongoing efforts to deliver superior services for supplying electricity in Khorfakkan, specifically to the industrial and commercial residential areas of Al Haray, the authority is currently working on connecting electricity services to the industrial area at a cost of over 12 million dirhams and to the commercial area at an approximate cost of 7 million dirhams. These efforts will persist until the necessary 33 kV main distribution station for fully powering the area is constructed.
He further emphasised that, as part of SEWA's commitment to sustainability, they are ensuring the provision of clean and safe water that meets the highest standards and specifications. The work has commenced on installing main water lines and pipes made of GRE material in various diameters ranging from 100 mm to 300 mm, with a total length of 30,000 linear meters, to cater to all users in the Al Haray industrial and commercial areas.
