Sharjah 24: His Excellency Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA), along with Abdullah Abdulrahman Mohammed Obaid Al Shamsi, Director General of SEWA, warmly received a delegation from the Emirates General Petroleum Corporation, led by Ali Khalifa Bin Shaheen Al Shamsi, the General Director of the Corporation.
The purpose of their meeting was to share expertise and foster collaborative efforts to implement the best energy production practices and utilise cutting-edge technologies for sustainable development, while also promoting eco-friendly solutions.
Al Suwaidi expressed his pleasure at the delegation's visit and stressed the SEWA's dedication to building and strengthening partnerships with their counterparts to enhance various aspects of their work, aligning with the vision of the Sharjah government to deliver top-notch services.
The meeting included discussions on several strategic aspects of the SEWA, focusing on efforts to enhance the efficiency of production stations and strategic plans to increase energy production to meet the rising demand in the Emirate of Sharjah, driven by ongoing development projects and economic growth across all regions.
Al Shamsi highlighted that the meeting also covered various areas of collaboration, such as the maintenance of natural gas pipelines and the installation of electric vehicle chargers at Emirates General Petroleum Corporation stations in Sharjah. Additionally, they discussed the SEWA's endeavours to extend natural gas services to the central and Al Hamriyah regions.
