Sharjah24: In compliance with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation's decision to prohibit working under the sun and in open areas from June 15th to September 15th, between 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM, the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority, in partnership with the Labour Standards Development Authority, has initiated a campaign to raise awareness about the risks of heat stress. The campaign aims to educate individuals about the causes of heat stress, preventive measures, and the appropriate actions to take in case of incidents.
To ensure the effective implementation of the decision and minimise heat stress-related injuries, the authority's field teams conduct regular inspections throughout the Emirate of Sharjah. Additionally, training programs focusing on awareness and the necessary procedures for handling incidents are being organised.

Emphasising the importance of worker well-being, His Excellency Sheikh Eng. Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Prevention and Safety Authority, highlights that the health of employees in Sharjah is the authority's foremost concern. By fostering collaboration among various institutions and companies operating in the Emirate, they strive to maintain the highest standards of health and occupational safety.

Furthermore, the Prevention and Safety Authority urges all companies in Sharjah to register in the Sharjah Safety and Occupational Health System via the authority's website. It is also essential to promptly report any incidents, including heat stress injuries, through the system, thereby promoting a culture of general safety.
