In conjunction with (World Hearing Day), in which the world celebrates the achievements made to improve hearing and speech for everyone and raise awareness about communication disorders, and the available treatments that can change the lives of many individuals, Al Khalidiya Suburb Council hosted a lecture entitled “Speech, Language and the Role of the Family”, in cooperation with Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, aiming at raising community awareness.
Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, said that the Council is very keen to support all Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services’ activities and events. Al Marri also expressed his happiness that the lecture benefited the attendees with information and advice that would teach them how to deal with and understand the different situations that children, and people with hearing and language disorders face, in addition to providing information about hearing impairment, hearing aids, cochlear implants, and highlighting the latest technologies in the field of hearing disorders.
Al Marri thanked and appreciated the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services for giving the lecture. He also thanked all attendees for raising awareness on hearing and language problems among children and people with disabilities.
