Sharjah 24: The Khorfakkan Parents' Council, affiliated with Sharjah Districts Affairs Department (SDAD), held its first meeting following its restructuring at the headquarters of the Al Hawami Suburb Council.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Sulaiman Al Kabouri, Director of the Department, along with the council members, headed by Ahmed Omar Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Council.

The meeting was attended by the new members: Ibrahim Khamis Sulaiman Al Naqbi, Ahmed Rashid bin Omar Al Naqbi, Amna Ahmed Yousef Al Jawhari, Dr Ruqayya Abbas Mohammed, Saeed Mohammed Saeed Majid Al Naqbi, Sheikha Faraj Khamis Al Naqbi, Muna Sulaiman Mohammed Al Naqbi, Hiyam Mohammed Abdullah Amer Al Hammadi, and Younis Hassan Ali Al Hosani.

During the meeting, Saeed Mohammed Saeed Majid Al Naqbi was elected as Vice Chairman of the Council.

Integrating Parents' Council role with educational institutions in Khorfakkan

The meeting discussed the main areas of work for the coming period. During the meeting, attendees emphasised the importance of integrating the role of the Parents' Council with educational institutions in Khorfakkan City, contributing to fostering a stimulating educational environment based on a true partnership between school and family, and contributing to student psychological and academic support.

They also emphasised the need to launch specific initiatives aimed at strengthening school belonging and developing life skills among students at various educational levels.

Consolidating the role of community councils in supporting education

This educational approach of the Council falls within the framework of Districts Affairs Department vision to consolidate the role of community councils in supporting the educational process and embracing awareness-raising and educational initiatives that positively impact student stability and excellence, contributing to building an informed generation, armed with knowledge, and capable of positively interacting with their social and educational environment.
