Sharjah24: In a heartwarming gesture, Al Khalidiya Suburb Council (AKSC) in Sharjah, affiliated to the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs, donated half a million dirhams to the Sharjah Charity International (SCI), in a qualitative gesture and as part of its community initiatives, with the aim to support its financial resources.
Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of the Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, accompanied by Mohammed Rashid bin Jarash, Vice-Chairman of the Council, and Omran Mohammed Al-Hammadi, the council official, received Ali Mohammed Al-Rashdi, Head of the Resources and Investment Sector at the Sharjah Charity International, and presented a donation check for (500,000) dirham.
Khalfan Saeed Al Marri confirmed that the council is keen to develop the roles of humanitarian and charitable institutions in the emirate.
Al Marri stated that this support comes within the Council’s initiatives and activities to consolidate its societal role, reflecting the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his vision to establish councils to play their role in promoting community cohesion.
Appreciating the warm reception, Ali Mohammed Al-Rashdi thanked and appreciated the Chairman of the Council, members and all staff for the roles they play, and stressed that the Sharjah Charity International will always continue to communicate with Al Khalidiya Suburb Council.
