Under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, witnessed the honouring ceremony of the winners of the Sharjah Excellence Award 2022, which was held on Wednesday evening at the Sharjah Expo Centre.
The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Sharjah Police General Command, the National Program for Small and National Enterprises and Projects, Sharjah Capability Development - Tatweer, Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Center ‘Tahkeem’, Sharjah Government Media Bureau, UAE BARQ, and Skyline University College were among the awarded bodies.
The honouring ceremony began with the UAE national anthem, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, after which the audience watched a video and documentary presentation about the Sharjah Award.
Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sharjah Award for Excellence, delivered a speech in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, lauding his follow-up to all the activities of the Sharjah Chamber and the award, promoting the approach of the Emirate of Sharjah in maintaining excellence and creativity.
He also thanked and appreciated Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for attending the ceremony and honouring the winners.
Al Owais congratulated all the winners of the Award during this session, pointing out that the Sharjah Excellence Award has become one of the most prominent economic quality awards at the local and Gulf levels.
The honouring ceremony was attended by several sheikhs, dignitaries, a number of members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and the Award’s Board of Trustees, a number of senior officials and diplomats accredited to the state, representatives of federations of UAE and Gulf chambers of commerce and industry, as well as a crowd of representatives of private sector companies and businessmen.
