The honoring ceremony began with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, delivered a speech and said : “ I returned to the award archive, that beautiful archive, and some pictures and live scenes stopped me, and an interview of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah caught my attention as he talked about the importance of the award and its role in promoting excellence, and a scene of outstanding students receiving their certificates from His Highness. I got to know some of these personalities and they now hold several positions leading the renaissance of development and urbanization for this country “ .
The Chairman of the Education Council affirmed that this edition presented the launch of a new category “Al Jawhara Award”, as it is an exceptional honor for a distinguished personality with individual achievements and initiatives that have an effective impact in the field of education. He emphasised that this edition also witnessed a remarkable turnout, as the number of participants in the current edition reached 1328, with an increase of (40%) from last year. On the other hand, digital transformation initiatives were launched including smart phone application, and new mechanisms for subscriber portal , in addition to virtual courses and audio recording of all explanatory evidence for the categories.
Al Kaabi congratulated award winners and thanked Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for his presence.
After that, the attendees watched a film titled "Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence: A Journey of Excellence, Development, and Creativity", which displayed the award's march since its inception and the plans it adopted and contributed to the development of its stages over the years, in addition to the multiplicity of award categories and the use of technology . The audience also watched a three-dimensional presentation and a visual material titled "Makers of Excellence", which it touched on the efforts made by the candidates participating in the award and the parents' support for their student children.
The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah honoured Abdullah Awad Al Hammami, a visual impairment specialist at the Ministry of Education, and a certified trainer from the Canadian American Board with Al Jawhara Award.
The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah also honoured the Sharjah Private Education Authority, which won the first place as the best educational institution, while the Emirates Schools Establishment won the second place, and the Sharjah Police won the first place award for the category of institutions and partnerships supporting distinguished education.
In the distinguished student category, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah honored Nawal Ali Jawas and Fayesh Vic for the third grade, while the fourth grade award was won by Christina Rakan and Nasr Abdul Majeed. Noura Al-Mushtal Al-Naqbi and Maryam Al-Na’our Al-Naqbi won the fifth-grade award, while Aisha Hameed Al-Khayal, Ghaya Saeed Al-Ahbabi and Moza Muhammad Al-Houti won the sixth-grade award. Vaishnav Santosh and Rikav Krishna won the seventh-grade award. For the eighth-grade category, Sashni Manikandan and Yuvam Thakkar won the award, Saif Hassan Karam and Bisan Muhammad Firas won the ninth grade award, and Rashid Omar Al-Harsh and Maryam Hamad Al-Ghafli won the tenth grade award, while the eleventh grade award went to Abdullah Muhammad Ramadan and Michel Faraz Al Hashemi, and the twelfth grade award went to Maryam Hassan Al Shamsi, and in the distinguished student category. In the special categories, Maitha Muhammad Al-Hamoudi, Noura Muhammad Al-Hammadi, Tala Ahmed Al-Amar, Hamdan Hamid Al-Zahmi, and Rida Ismail Thabet were honored.
Deputy Ruler of Sharjah honored Abdullah Al-Khoury with the first-place award for the Distinguished Guardian category, while Amal Abdullah Al-Muhairi won the second place, and Samar Khaled Al-Shibli won the Distinguished Educational Leader, Noura Mubarak Al-Hammadi won the first place, Hoda Muhammad Rabi’ won the second place, and Iman Mustafa Muhammad won the third place, Aisha Khalifa Al-Ghafli won the fourth place for the Distinguished Teacher category.
The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, also honored Marwa Khamis Al Yamahi, winner of the first place, and Muhammad Muhammad Makhlouf, won the second place for the distinguished supportive jobs category.
Asma'a Kindergarten and School for Basic Education won the first place award for the distinguished educational institutions category, and the first place award for the distinguished institutional work teams category went to the team of the Smile Al-Dad Language Clinic.
At the end of the ceremony, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi honored the leaders and founders of the award, which was launched in 1994, appreciating their efforts that laid the foundations for the award and contributed to its continuation to this day . Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi took a group photo with the arbitration committee and the existing work teams.
The honoring ceremony was attended by Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler, Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, Suleiman bin Sarhan Al Zaabi, Head of the Municipal Affairs Department, Khalid Butti Al Hajri, Director General of the University City, and a number of senior officials in the educational sector and heads of parents’ councils, teachers and school students.
