Amani Al Saeedi, Member of the Arab Parliament for the Child, opened the session by thanking His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for supporting and hosting the Parliament in Sharjah.
A member of the Arab Parliament for the Child, Yassin Okasha, delivered a speech on behalf of the Parliament and thanked the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, for her generous efforts in helping those affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey, especially the children.
Counselor Abdel Malik Dababesh from the General Secretariat of the Arab League delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings of Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League, and his wishes for success in the third session of Parliament to enhance children’s right to exercise their right freedom of expression, their right to participate, and their right to be heard. Children become essential members and can assume their responsibilities and contribute to building their nations, as they are the hope and strength of the nation for the future.
Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary General of the Arab Parliament for Child, pointed out that the parliament discussed several essential issues in which children expressed their opinions in eight sessions, which reflected a genius promising a prosperous future.
