Sharjah 24: Sharjah Social Security Fund provides insurance protection to the insured against social risks, including old age, disability, death, illness and work injuries.
The Sharjah Social Security Fund (SSSF) affirmed that its insurance benefits extend in a comprehensive and integrated manner to cover all risks that the insured may be exposed to, or prevent him, in whole or in part, from practicing his professional activity and carrying out his job duties.
The fund stated that it is, by virtue of its competence, undertaking protection from social risks such as old age, disability, death, illness and work injuries.
In this regard, the fund indicated that it provides an umbrella of insurance protection that meet with the great care given by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah to the community in general and the family in particular in light of His Highness’s care in all emergency circumstances which may affect the insured in the scope of his family and social life.
The Fund works, within its legislative framework, to embody social security and to ensure comfort, tranquility, and a decent life for the insured and their family members. In this context, the fund provides a number of privileges to the insured according to its system in protecting the insured from social risks that may affect their practicing of their professional life, obtaining their livelihood, increasing their family burdens and reducing their standard of living, in a way that guarantees for these individuals a minimum standard of living.
