Sharjah 24: Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources (SDHR), in cooperation with Sharjah Social Security Fund (SSSF), concluded a virtual introductory session explaining Social Security Law No. (5) to all Sharjah government employees, in which 150 employees from all bodies, institutions and departments of the Government of Sharjah participated.
The seminar comes within the strategic partnership that SDHR follows with the SSSF in organising introductory seminars for all Sharjah government employees to introduce them to the Social Security Law in the Emirate, to familiarise them with all rights, privileges and insurance benefits such as pensions, rewards and grants, and the rules for subscribing to the Fund.
The seminar tackled a number of topics such as the concept of social insurance, occupational and social risks, risks covered by the system, the stages of developing insurance protection, the social insurance umbrella and the characteristics of the system.
The seminar also touched on the application of Law No. 5 of 2018 regarding social security in the Emirate of Sharjah, the date of entry into force of the law, the rules for participation in the system, the sources of funding, rules of leaves, loans, sick leaves etc..
The seminar reviewed the insurance benefits (pensions, bonuses, compensation and grants) and tackled the explanation of each part on a large scale for the participants to clarify each part.
